Default 2005 Dodge Durango electrical issues (I think)

Brake lights (bottom not top) are coming on by themselves even when vehicle is off. Replaced brake switch and still coming on. Reset computer ran fine for a couple weeks then ac fan in front quit working. Next day engine light comes on and vehicle doesn't want to idle and is hard to get started. Once I do get it started i get a strong fuel smell like it's running lean. Everybody is telling me the pcm or fcm is bad. Please help me narrow this down. Living off va disability so I simply can't afford to take it to a dealership. Thank you in advance.

2005 Durango 4.7 with 165,000 miles
A month ago when I got it no check eng light and only code it pulled was an o2 sensor.
Now I have check eng light and code p0406 which they said is a fuel recirculating issue.
Not pulling the o2 sensor code now tho.
Keep being told pcm or bcm is the culprit.
