Asking Favor - Can someone check their AC Condenser fan?
tshooting an AC issue. Our condenser fan does not come on. Compressor clutch engages, but high and low pressure lines are HOT.
Trying to determine normal operation.
Wondered if someone with a 2nd gen durango could tell me when you turn on the AC, does your condenser fan ALSO come on, or does it come on at different intervals. Can you tell me also if you set to defrost, does your condenser fan come on?
Noticed condenser fan doesn't come on if running for long periods of time. Found if I unplug pressure switch and plug back in, the fan will kick on low for a minute or so then back off.
Also, when I set on defrost, the fan does not come on, which i thought it should.
Thank you!

ANY a.c system...with the vehicle not moving, the condenser fan must turn on or the system will over pressure within minutes. the pressure will build until the high pressure cut off shuts off the compressor before something bursts. You don't even need pressure gauges to notice this....the system will run ok until the pressure get high...system performance will decrease ie cold air will turn warm...then the compressor shuts off.
