Default larger tire question

I currently have stock 265/60-18 tires on my 2006 Limited. Can I put 265/65-18's on without issue? They are the same width but 1" taller overall.

Unless you have the incorrect tire mounted, wouldn’t that make your speedometer incorrect? You would cover more ground per revolution of the tire, so I think going faster than the speedometer reported. No idea on related stresses on the drivetrain.

Thanks for the reminder. That raises another question: will an inch taller tire mess up how my transmission shifts?

A guy at work put Rebel wheels and tires on his 1500 and the transmission acted funky. He couldn't find atuner that would fix it so he took the wheels/tires off.
