I pulled mine because the CD player locked up with discs inside. It is the 6 disc changer. There were no RCA plugs on the unit.

I bought a stock unit from ebay that had cassette and 6 disc changer put it in and the changer didn't work on that unit either. There were no RCA plugs on that unit also.

I'm getting an after market unit next month.

My CD Player crapped out on me this weekend and can't get the CD's out. Any suggestions? I have been hearing nightmare stories about replacing the CD player and then other things do not work, i.e., power windows, etc.

Thanks

Is it just not turnig on? That happened to me right before we were leaving for a road trip. Then I just held the eject button for a few seconds and it came back to life. It hasn't happened since.

no, the problem was in the carrier mechanism. The radio worked but you could hear the carrier grind for a few seconds and stop, like it was trying to load one of the four discs that were stuck.
