DTE way off after repairs
2005 Dodge Durango - 113,000 miles. Had brake work done and a/c compressor work done. When the gas tank is full, the DTE has always shown 387 miles. We picked up the Durango from the shop, filled the tank, and DTE only read 290 miles. Why? That's a big difference. Why would this occur? How do you fix?
dte is based on fuel in the tank and average fuel consumption....reset the average fuel consumption reading while your driving on the highway and see if it goes back to 387.
