Air not blowing through Front vents or 2nd row top vents....
So my 2007 Durango Limited only blows air out of defrost and floor. It will not blow air through the vents, and also does not blow on the top of the back door vent either. The trunk vents blow just fine.
No matter what we do with the electronic control nothing makes it blow out. The blower motor is running fine at all settings. I'm hoping it isn't the door actuator and just some electrical issue. We have had electrical gremlins in this thing since we got it that didn't help matters either when the sunroof clogged and water went down into the inside fuse panel as well corroding some things.
The front console area has plenty of lights out, so I question if maybe there is a short somewhere keeping the actuator from moving. I hear absolutely no noise at all when changing from floor to vent to defrost and back as far as a motor or anything stuck. I do hear the air patterns sound like they change depending on where i have it but that doesn't equate to the vent working.
Any ideas. This car has 250K miles on it and I'm not going to spend $1500-2000 to pull out the dash to fix an A/C system that already has a freon leak where I have to put freon in it every 2-3 months. I just want to know if maybe there is some type of easy fix less invasive?
