Rear Power windows go down but not up
My son, who turns 16 next week, purchased a 2008 Dodge Durango on auction with my help. He got a great vehicle for a good price but the rear power windows are driving me crazy. They go down but not up.
I started out by taking the door panels off and disconnecting the cable connection to the power window motors and used a spare battery and was able to run power directly to them. They were able to go up just fine or down depending on the polarity provided. So that tells me the motors were are fine. So I bought a switch and confirmed that the switches also were not the problem.
Next, I read online that the drivers door switch is a common cause for issues. I checked that the wiring all looked good and confirmed that the wires were all plugged in as well. So I bought a new drivers door panel switch and installed it. The rear windows still won’t go up.
any ideas? Also if anyone has a wiring diagram that would be great as well. Thank you!
