idle engine misses and revs it's self?
When in park idling engine has a slight miss and, pushing down the accelerator pedal and holding it down starting at about 2500 rpm holding pedal steady, the engine starts revving it's self while holding gas pedal steady? any help would be greatly appreciated! 
Took it to mechanic paid $300.00 ran great for one day now it's doing same thing again 
It's an 07 model with 4.7l engine

Does the 07 4.7 have a throttle cable?
My 06 5.7 has all electronic throttle with an accelerator pedal sensor, plus a throttle position sensor integrated in the throttle body.
You can try cleaning the throttle body. Search for YouTube videos to see how to do it. If that doesn’t work or you can confirm the integrated TPS has gone bad with a scan tool, then replace the throttle body assembly.
