I recently purchased a 2004 4.7 2WD Limited, it has 216,000 some odd miles, only normal wear and tear issues like ball joints and brakes. I've already lamented in other thread about the trans light intermittently going on. My issue that I have the most struggles with is the wiring/electrical. Now I know that the head unit is after market, I'm not positive on the particular brand and its 12am as I write this and do not feel currently like investigating. The radio does not come on at all nor does the overhead DVD player, although on occasions I've heard the dvd changer sound off like it is attempting to play something. The overhead dome lights do not come on at all, the climate control all works but the lighting is intermittent. I did attempt to replace the radio fuse at one point and either had a bad fuse or there is a possible short because it arked when putting the new fuse in. Has anyone experienced similar issues? I'm not overly fond of electrical issues due to being red green color blind, literally use to pass on every single electrical ticket when I worked for a dealership (we'll leave the make of the dealership unsaid because sadly it wasn't dodge dealer). Please any assistance would be appreciated as well as input from an experienced tech that specializes in electric.
