2006 dodge 4x4 hemi 5.7. Driving down the road and the 4wd svc light will come on and then go off. So far, when I put it in 4x4 it works fine. The other day, my daughter opened the passenger door when the vehicle was off and i could hear some type of motor making a noise. It lasted about 2 seconds. This morning my wife was pulling into a parking spot and she said it just was kinda giving her trouble like it didnt want to go.
I've done some searching on here and other sites and am reading about the Central timer Module. Can anyone give me any information about this and how to fix it. Ken

 

Update:
I pulled the trouble codes and have P1521 for incorrect engine oil which cant be right because I use the recommended 5w20.
Also shows C1404 transfer case range position sensor circuit low. I looking into this now.
