Hi,

My 04Hemi Rango is due for the 30K service. I want to install spark plugs that will last 100K. The service advisor at the dealer said I can only install regular plugs and they have to be changed every 30K miles. Is this guy full of it, or is that true? anyone know.

The "100K plugs" are double platnum plugs, and can cause some driveablity problems if ran in these engines. You'll be beter off to run the oem champion plugs.

 

I had no clue the plugs had to be changed at 30k miles. I will do that soon then i am at 38k.

 

The 30K service is extensive (my opinion) on the 04 Hemi Durango. The dealer quoted around $1100 for a complete 30Kservice. I ended up paying about $350; I changed the plugs, but I had to special order from Checker and I also replaced the air filter. The plugs were a pain in the ***!

 

CRAZY!!! First i have heard of this.
