2004 5.7. A few weeks ago tried to start it and wouldn’t crank. Assumed it was the battery and connected the charger wit battery still fitted in the car.
Hour later I disconnected the charger and car started fine. Ran the car for a few days no problem.
Now again the car won’t crank. Tried again with the charger but didn’t work this time.
Auto electrician did some diagnostics on it and seems that he cannot get information from the PCM.
I have seen new PCM’s on Rockauto at just over $1,000.
Is swopping over the PCM an easy job, or is new software required?
Any help/advice really appreciated.
