I have an 04 5.7 that will not start. It only cranks if I use a relay with an on switch or hook up trigger switch to the starter.. it all happened after I replaced the broken shifter cable the dash put up the blinking check engine and the lightning bolt and security light .. the only codes I could pull were for an o2 sensor. I just figured I jacked it up to high or bumped something when I put it in and it messed with the security so I put a new battery in new egr valve and new ecm not really sure what to do as I can’t afford to have the dealership to take it

I do know with mine there were a couple shorts around the relay box under the hood old wires and water from the cowl and check to make sure ur getting the right power to starter etc I’ll let u know if anything changes
