06 w/ 4.7 Died Driving, ASD fuse blowing, pending error U25e5
2006 Durango 4.7 with 226000km. Was driving last night and after coming off a stop sign my truck just died. In the middle of the intersection. That was a fun push back to the side of the road as a physically disabled person, but good exercise I reckon. Had a friend tow me the block back to my house but couldn't do much that night as it was pitch black.
Took a look this morning in the day light, tried swapping the starter and fuel pump relays before noticing the ASD 30amp fuse was blown. Replaced that and tried again but blew again. Tried swapping the ASD relay with the blower one and still blew my last backup fuse and didn't start. Now I'm out of fuses and patience. After replacing the fuse the first time when I tried starting my MIL flashed. Ran my cheap tester on it and came up with pending P0700 and a weird one I cant even find online, U25e5. Pretty sure U codes are communication based, but I'm not sure. I borrowed my dads code reader which is better and can read different modules and in addition to the P700 code I got P0688 ASD Main Sense Circuit as well as P0685 ASD Main Control Circuit and U0019 CAN B Bus (but oddly didn't see that U25e5 one, maybe my cheap reader was confused about the ASD codes?). When it comes to electrical problems I'm a complete fish out of water. Truck cranks but won't bark off at all. Has fuel at the rail (checked schraeder valve). Prior to this I didn't have any engine lights, but did have ABS and traction control systems offline from recent brake work at a garage they didn't or couldn't reset themselves.
So what is causing my ASD fuse to blow, and what exactly is related to the ASD system? I have zero experience dealing with this issue. Any help is really appreciated. I can't afford to tow it to the mechanic and have a repair bill what with the timing of Christmas and what not, but it's very important I get this thing going ASAP for medical appointments mostly but also to take everyone for Christmas visiting and whatnot.
Thanks in advance!
