My D is making a pinging noise when applying load from a stopped position. I went underneath and one of the plastic covers is gone and you can see where the rust is coming out. I couldn't find a video for this specific repair. Does anyone have a link to a video or some tips for this repair? I think you have to cut the wire clamp for the boot at the transfer case and not sure how to replace that either.
I did a little more research and apparently all the parts places around here do not sell this part, even the dealer. The dealer says they don't have a listing for this u-joint and the whole shaft has been discontinued. Not sure what to do now. Hopefully someone here has come across this issue and found a comparable u-joint that will fit.
