Evap Emissions issue
Hey Guys,
I have a 2005 Dodge Durango Limited, 5.7L, AWD. I had a no start condition where it would crank, fire immediately to about 1500RPM and die. My local shop said it needed an ignition switch in the column. They changed it and still had the same problem. They then said it was the fuel pump. I ordered a Bosch fuel pump module that had the pump, float, etc. They installed it and same issue. Now they say it is an emissions issue and want to replace the vapor canister purge solenoid, EVAP leak detection pump, and vapor canister for another $1k. Each of the previous repairs conveniently also were $1k.
I am tired of them just throwing parts at it in $1k intervals until they stumble onto something.
Thoughts?
Jeff
