Default 06 Hemi MDS delete solution here

I have posted here before about the issues with the MDS on my 06 limited Hemi. Started having issues and throwing codes for MDS at 205000 miles. I spent 1300 replacing the silenoids but the check eng light stayed on. Nine months later it started running very bad and I had to tow it in. Two of the silenoids went bad and it cost me 500 to change them out under warranty. The check engine light still was on displaying the same MDS codes. It was strange because I could just feel the engine kind of hiccuping, just making little bumps sometimes when I would let off the gas.
So I purchased the Diablo sport I3 platinum for 460.00. The tech there had told me it would turn MDS off but it could not be deleted.
I got it in and I had to call the tech to walk me through it to find MDS on the device to turn it off. It worked great. It has been off now a week and I have not had any issues with the engine. I only wish I would have known about this before I spent the other 1800.00 that didnt actually fix the problem. There was some concern that the 2006 was too old to be turned off but I can say that is not true and the Diablo sport I3 platinum will turn off the MDS and the check engine light is not on now. Hopefully my nightmare is over. I'm gonna sell it in the next few months and get another F150 or Tundra.

The turning off a MDS is a nice soloution if you have wiring or electrical failure of the system, but it does not change the design of the lifters which can fail, and if I understand the principle of operation the solenoid holds oil pressure to the lifter for normal operation so the solenoid could still fail or allow oil to bypass. You could install the MDS solenoid delete plugs to remedy this part of the situation, if it became a problem
