I just purchased a 2WD 05 Durango Limited. I am not extremely mechanically inclined so I ahve to ask: whata e the negatives to having a non 4WD SUV...assuming you don't take it off road or in the mud? I got a really good deal on it, and the only thing it dind't ahve was 4WD....I know 4WD would have been optimal but I want to hear all the negatives I might experience.

 

Where do you live? If you don't plan on going off-road the biggest issue is snow. If you're not in a snowy area, then it's no big deal. Also, the 2WD versions typically have a slightly higher towing capacity than the 4wd or AWD models. AWD and 4WD hold their value better, but sacrifice gas mileage compared to 2WD.
