Durango Vs other choices
I'm in Sugar Hill and my office is in Alpharetta. I saw on your profile that you're from Roswell. We went by there in December and they had a few truckloads of low mileage Durangos on the lot. There were two identical black limiteds, one with 9k and one with 11k so I took a guess that a lot of them might still be sitting there. They were nice did not want to deal at all....low balled my trade and basically offered what was written on the window as the price. We finally found one in Tucker with only 4000 miles on it.... '05 Lava Limited 4x2 Hemi with nav, chrome rims, and everything else except DVD and sunroof for basically $24k out the door.
Yes, it was a dealer but not a Dodge dealer. It was www.carconnectioninc.com in Tucker, a Permafinish and car dealer/locator. We went there to look at an '04 khaki Limited Hemi 4x4 that was listed on their website. They had just gotten in the '05 that we wound up buying and it was a Daimler employee's leased vehicle. If you go by there, ask for Will and tell them what you want and what you want to spend and they will try to find it for you. They don't have anything but an ST listed right now online, but they'll find whatever you want. They were great to work with.
Also, '05 is the last year that DC offers the 7/70 powertrain warranty. It has been cancelled on the '06 models. It is transferrable only to the second owner for $150.
Here's one with what you want in Gainesville for $21k: http://tinyurl.com/z446w

The biggest thing I like about the Path compared to the Durango is the 2nd gen Dur has too many blind spots while driving compared to the Path. Why do you not consider a new Dakota QC? It has the tow capacity you are looking for. It's rated for 7,000 lbs. Just curious.
The Durango is larger, rides better, and doesn't handle badly considering its size. The Toyota and Nissan are set up more for going off-road, and don't have nearly as much room in the back two rows. Toyota has the nicest interior. I personally think the Durango competes more with the Armada and Sequoia because of its size.
