Just bought a new durango SLT (yes a Hemi) - about 50 miles on it now. Passenger side has grease? (red tint to it) - looks as if it came from the wheel well area. Dealer claims they use clear grease. Any suggestions on what it might be from?

where is the grease at.. yes in some cases red grease is used but it depends on where and which part. where is it at on the passenger side?

 

It is all along the passenger side door - kinda looked like silly string along the side. There was a lot (glob on end of fingers) inside the front wheel well on the passenger side. Some on the underside of the vehicle, but not as much. We washed it off, and so far has not returned.

 

you know the dealership and their body men use greese to find rattles. i had one and they smeared so much greese on my van in an attempt to stop the noise they had to replace the carpet and one door pannel. they found the noise it was a loose break cable but didnt clean up the greese and once the kids got in to the van well u can guess how fast that crap got all over
