04 durango auto locks
I need to know how to turn off the auto door lock and how to det the remote up to unlock all the doors with one button push. I dont have a manual, i bought one off ebay but the jerk didnt send it to me and I realy dont want to have to spend $30 on just 2 questions. thanks for the help in advance.
To program key fob to open all doors with one touch:
1. Press and hold the lock button on a programmed key fob.
2. Cont. to hold the lock button at least 4 secs., but no longer than 10, then press and hold the unlock button. A single chime will sound to indicate that this feature has
changed.
3. Release both buttons at the same time.
4. Test the feature while outside of the vehicle, by pressing the LOCK/UNLOCK button on the key fob.
NOTE: Pressing the LOCK button on the keyfob while you are inside the vehicle will activate the Security Alarm. Opening a door with Security Alarm activated will
cause the Alarm to sound. Press the UNLOCK button to deativate the Security Alarm.
If this did not program, repeat steps or to undo program, repeat steps.

I have one question: does the doors locks automatically after a period of time? I have this feature on another car (probably controlled byt the alarm system), anbd kind of like it. It is also risky because you may lock your keys inside by mistake but.. I remember getting out of a movie theater just to make sure that my -D- was locked.
You know.. the mind playing tricks and your wife asking: "are you sure...?". That question kills me unless I'm 100% sure that I heard the horn.
About changing the programming: I believe it has a reason to have to press twice the control in order to open all doors. Imaging if someone is waiting to get in as soon as you open the doors and you're alone. My other car open all doors when I press the control and it really makes me think about it.

Actually it is programmed to lock after your vehicle reaches a predetermined speed....most likley around 10 - 15 mph. If your keys are in the ignition, the Durango won't even let you lock the doors if the vehicle is turned off.
My mistake
I was referring when you turn off the engine and close all doors. If I forget to close it with the beeper, does it closes automatically after a period of time?
I think it doesn't but maybe theres a programming way to do it. Sometimes I'm not sure if I closed or not the locks after leaving the -D- parked.
Thanks,
