Hey there, I was just wondering if anyone has had a problem with their Cruise Control. We have a 2004 Durango Limited with the Hemi. Occasionally, the cruise control will fail to work. It will hold the speed for about 1 second, and then it lets go. If you shut the vehicle off, and turn it back on, everything is fine.

Any suggestions as to what it might be. Our Dealership won't really spend alot of time on it, because they can't replicate the problem. It has happened about 3 times in the last few months.

most of these annoying problems with the 04 durango r just software issues thet will eventually be fixed. what everyone needs to do is call the dc service line and complain so they know they have a problem. we r presently waiting for a patch for the ac problem . i havent however heard of any other cruise problems but usually when someone posts it will illisate responses from others

 

I have a 04' Hemi too and I drove to west virginia to go on a nature trip. I also noticed that sometimes when i engage or disengage the cruise control, sometimes it doesn't respond. I'd have to press on it a couple of times. I figured it was first time using it so i didn't pay no mind. But my Grand cherokee wasn't as difficult to use. Now that u mentioned it, i'm gonna double check on it. Are you having the same problem as mine? sometimes not accelerating sometimes not decelerating when you press cruise or accel?
