Durango 05 lugs nuts for OEM alloy Rims
Hello all,
Can anyone help me??? I need to know what size/brand Lug nuts for a 05 Durango. It came with the dodge hub caps. I bought their OEM Alloy rims and notice I needed new lugs. Went to several stores and said i should use 1/2" 20M. Clearly that's NOT TRUE!!!
Is there different lugs for hubs and for OEM alloy rims?? Never thought buying lugs would be so difficult!!!

Yes, Lug nuts are different for steel hub style caps versus Alluminum wheels. The Alloys (Alluminum wheels) the you have need to have what is called Bulge Acorn seating. This allows the lug nut to secure the wheel flush to the hub of the vehicle. Depending on if your wheel is an open lug hole or if a cap covers the lugs various lengths can be used.
The most impotant things are that the lugs are Bulge Acorn Seating and that the threading is 9/16" for the 2005 Dodge Durango. As far as lenght you will need a lug nut that is about 1.5" long. The best thing is to check to see how much of the stud sticks through the lug hole and purchase the length accordingly. Check us out on eBay dot com.
