So I just bought a 2004 Durango, got a great deal on it also. The only thing that is bothering me at the moment is the lack of the third row seating. At the moment there is a storage space where the third row seating would be. I was wondering if anyone knew if I could buy the third row seats and install them myself. The only concern or problem I can forsee is 1) third row seats not available and 2) getting the seatbelts installed correctly.

 

I've seen some on Ebay. I would take a look at someone else's D and see how they are installed. You might have to go to the dealer to get any pieces you need. We can take some pictures to help you out if needed.

 

i have an '04 with the trid row seating and for u to install them might be kinda difficultif you put the factory ones in that i have... my third row seating is stow and go seats....

 

Do you really mean "stow & go"? Stow and go seats are the ones that disappear into the floor, like the ones on the minivans. I believe the durango only comes with the folding seats. I could be wrong.

Mine basically is stow and go on the 3rd row. You cant see that there is a 3rd row when it is down...

 

I know I'm being a stickler but the true stow'n go seating leaves a flat floor when the seats are stowed. Flat at foot level. In the Durango, sure the resulting area is flat but it is at a level even with the seat cushion not your feet.

i put the third row in my st that did not come with it.

my truck is an 04 st with only two rows. I put the 50/50 split third row from an 05 into the truck without issue. It took all of 15 min. to do the job. I got it off of ebay. now i just have to get the seat belts and the two rear trim panels.

 

This subject may be dead, but I just bought an 04 Durengo. Installed the 3rd seat, as said above the seat has 6 bolts, just remove the tape from the wholes in the floorboard. Now installing he seabelts aeju aseasy. If u ned any deatils email me at Mgearin@preprintlogistics.com
