Default DES/DVD/CD/Radio Simultaneous use

I have a 2005 Limited Durango with a factory installed DVD system. Does any one know if you can have the wireless headphones work with the dvd player so the kids can hear their movie while the driver can listen to the radio or cd player over the speakers. I don't know how to do this, the manual doesn't explain very well, or can even be done? I need help!! I'm getting tired of listening to their movies!!

Yes, you can get the dvd player to only play through the headphones. The sound will always play through the headphones (as long as they are on,) but the DVD will only play through the speakers when your radio head unit is set to DVD. The DVD function on the radio doesn't have any control over the DVD player, it just outputs the sound.

So if you want the DVD player only through the headphones, just turn on the DVD player and turn on the headphones. There are volume controls on the headphones so each person can listen to it as loud as they want. From there, you can change the head unit to whatever you want to listen to.

Hopefully that makes sense, if not, just let me know I will try to do better.
