Default New here with some ?'s

I just got a 06 SLT 4.7 Durango. I do know how to us the search button but have came up with nothing. I am looking to see how many miles can you get out of a tank of gas. Also what octane do you all put in? I am thinking if my Mustang GT ran off of 87 the Durango can also. Also I have see exhaust on a Dakota and seen the clips but have not seen any thing on a Durango. Also is the 4.7 a pushrod motor? If not what kind of motor is it. If you can link me to some web-site that talks about the 4.7l engine that would be great.

Thanks in advance... 2 pints

The owner's manual says 87 octane is fine. What do you mean by exhaust clips?

I did not get a owners manual so thanks for that info. What I mean by exhaust clip is video's or sound clip of a exhaust system installed on the Durango. So I can hear what it sounds like first hand before I do out and by it.

Many new owners, including myself, assume that they didn't get an owners manual. The center console compartment under your right elbow has a removable insert, remove it and you will find your owners manual and additional storage space in there.
It's not that obvious at first glance that the insert/liner is removable.

Here's a clip from Magnaflow: http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/04trucks.asp

WOW!!! I saw/heard the video and it sounds very impressive. How about a 4.7L? Any tests around?

Found the Mitsubishi Raider at the link. This pickup has the 4.7L. Sounds cool but no match for the Hemi.

I am averaging about 340 miles per tank right now. I have a new 06 Durango SLT with the 4.7L as well. I'm getting the MOPAR exhaust (82209195) OEM Borla exhaust.
