Default Remote Starter

I have a new 06 Durango I just bought. I want to get a remote starter. Some dude told me that there is a chip in the new keys that they would have to take out of the key and mount in the vehicle. Then i loose one of my keys. The new keys aren't cheap. Any help, or feedback would be great.

Not all the '06 Durangos have the chip in the ignition key. I was told if your keys are black, then there's no chip. If they are grey then there is a chip.
If there is a chip, then you do lose one key for the remote start feature. This key is placed into a module which is hidden inside the dash, and only activates when the remote start is activated. You still need a key with the chip to drive the vehicle, as the anti theft system is still functional.

What is a good remote start for the 2006 Durango? I am searching high and low and there are just too many to choose from.
