Default DVD system in 06 Durangos

Ihave an 06 Durango with the factory Video system.....but I have a question. When you put a DVD in, it of course goes to all the set up screens, previews, things you have to hit Play, or Enter, etc until finally the movie starts. The kids are in the back, so I cant see the screen while driving....can you set these things up so that they skip all that crap and just play the movie??

I have had the Durango DVD system for 2 years. I have yet to figure out ANY way to skip over all the stupid a.ss preview things. HOWEVER, if you put the mode of your radio on DVD, you can see the chapters and titles on the radio screen. Then, all you have to do is hit the track forward button (the same button you'd hit to go from say Track 1 on a CD/MP3 disk to Track 2). Hit it and keep hitting it passed all the da.mn previews and etc. Then, you should get to the main menu. Then, just hit enter. I either use the remote control to hit enter or I've memorized the buttons on the DVD player and just reach back over my head and hit it.

And, who are you calling a f u c k nut??

He is calling everyone that didn't respond to him that. He posted and 12 days later, came unglued due to no responses. Totally classless and typical Texas. Only steers and queers come from Texas and nuts obviously were on his mind... so I think we have our answer on him right there.

Maybe we were all LOL inside that a guy with all the bucks for a Gen2 with DVD doesn't know how to read his stupid manual?

You could always "backup" The DVD using some software that will alow youto put the onlymovie on the disk. I have done to to my kids DVD's so when i put them in it plays the movie instantly. You need a pc with a dvd burner and a free software call DVD Shrink. Search on the web you will find it. Man, I never knew how great having a DVD systme in the Durnago would be. The kids are silent!
