Default 2004 Durango overheating?? Help Thermostat

Hello I have an 04 Durango. I noticed with the a/c on it would get HOT!! about 3/4 to full almost on the H. I had a radiator flush. Still doing it. It only has 47k miles on it. Do you think it could be thermostat? Does anyone know step by step to change thermo or have any diagram of where thermo is located on this year?

Thanks!!!

It could be the thermostat. That would be the cheapest place to start. Find the upper radiator hose and trace it from the radiator and you will find the thermastat.

The thermostat could be your problem. You say the overheating only happens when the A/C is on right?? Does it happen at idle, or at all speeds???

If it happens at idle only, make sure your secondary electric fan is coming on when the A/C is on. This secondary fan which is onthe radiator near the AC condenser should operate continously anytime your A/C is on.

Also, did the system get properly "burped" when it was flushed??? If not, there is probably air trapped in the system which can cause the same problem.
