My 2004 Durango's passenger airbag deactivated light started coming on at random times. It stays on for a few minutes then goes off only to come on randomly. Anyone else have this issue?

 

if that is the one on the passanger side it indicates that there is a passanger in the seat but that they dont weigh enough for the air bags to activate. it is great for kids and small adult. if it flashes off and on with something in the seat it is the sensor being told there is weight in the seat and a bump may add a bit to it. if it is doing so with nothing in the seat it needs to go to the dealer.the sensor may need fixed replaced ect.

 

Things like groceries and books will set it off, too.

 

yep it dosent take much to start it flashin. my .45 will set it to blinkin when i set it there.the manual sayes how much weight it takes to actually turn the light out
