I need to know if the 2.7L engine in the 2000 Intrepid is the same as the one in a 02 Stratus if any of you know...I asked in the Stratus forum and the one response T got told me to ask here. I'm trying to see if the K&N made for that engine will work in mine.

 

i put a 04 stratus engine in my intrepid had to change manifolds, front cover, oil pan, motor mounts and the wiring harness. if you have the 00 intrepid engine you have all the parts

 

Are you talking about a K&N drop-in filter, or a cone filter? Really I guess it doesn't matter which it is. If it's a drop-in filter, as long as it fits the filter box it's fine. If it's a cone filter then as long as it clamps to the intake ducting tight then you should be fine.
