For the second time in 3 days I got in my car to go to work, 2003 SXT, and the odometer and shift position light blinked.

I find it strange that just those blink, and not the whole instrumentaion panel.

Thoughts?

 

Ha! That is funny. 2000 es here. Mine has been doing that for years now. Same exact thing. Blink a few times and that was it. I always thought it was a ghost or something. Does it a couple times a month or wont do it for a few months. Who knows. Like I said before, it has been doint it for years.

 

I have that problem on my Intrepid, sort of... The deal with my car though is that the air cleaner box likes to pop out of its spot and then pinch the positive battery wires which affects the power into the interior of the car a couple different ways. The 2 most common are the problem you mentioned, or theres no power at all. I pop the hood, pushthe living crap out of the air cleaner to jam it back in its spot, fiddle with the wires and power is back on. Id suggest checking the wiring.
