I replaced the battery in our 99 Intrepid today. That battery was dead (and I mean dead). Once the new one was in, the key would not turn. I wonder if this is a security issue, or an ignition issue. The car recently suffered some frojnt end damage, but the key was fine after that. It will start fine witrh the remote start, just the key will not turn. Any suggestions?

 

Try taking the pressure off the key by turning the steering wheel a bit left or right.
