well short story shorter, i have a friend who picked up a 98 chrystler intrepid (i figure its almost the same) i told them they needed an alignment. few weeks later i checked up on them and the alignment shop says the rack and pinion needs replaced and is common to fail. i figure since she is not a car person they are just tryign to rip her off. i tried looking up TSB's for it on this site and i didnt find any info. is there a common problem with the steering on this car?

 

lol dude sorry but you may have come to the wrong place. If you read my thread below this, you'll see that nobody here apparently knows of any possible issues with intrepids, or anything about intrepids period.
