Yep shes gone i got a knock a few days ago. Tonight my wife went to work and the call came. She felt a jump then it went dead. Gonna be a long road now. 54,000 miles, its a shame. ran beautiful all the way. Its towed and sitting right next to its next engine: 2001 chrysler concorde lxi 3.2 with 59,000. I guess pray for the best guys! p.s. I have no finances.......

 

Well best of luck to you that really is a shame. I see a lot of these cars on the road but I gotta admit I have heard of a lot of mechanical issues with these cars and it seems like the 2.7l is a motor with a tendancy to blow up. I hope you can find something cheap and more reliable, you should look into a newer base neon or stratus, they are cheap reliable transportation. If you get a Neon though make sure you get a 2000 or newer, seems like anything before then was junk.

 

This is why I bought a 3.2L for my wife recently. 2.7L are terrible from what I hear. Good luck!
