engine swap..possible? [kind of long]
hi new here and have a story.
okay so i used to drive a 99 intrepid which is now dead. i loved this car so much.
always got reg oil changes and before its death i got a trans flush.
almost sold it, but within 3hrs of sale i recieve a call by the lady and i hear LOUD knocking and her voice. she brings it back. no deal.
sits in driveway for about 5mths batt dies. so now ive been searching for an engine and find this 2.7 2004 engine with 50k on clock.
give it to me straight will this fit or not.

it will fit but you will have to change the cam gear and flywheel. as dodge changed the tone rings on the gears. i just got done putting a 2002 in a 2000 intrepid started it up last night and it ran great. you will also have to change the wiring harness, knock sensor, cam sensor, crank sensor from the older engine. are you planning on changing the transmission out to?
