hey guys..i gotta 99 3.2litr intrepid

here is my problem

every once an a while( like once a week or so ) ill go too start the car and it will start up then it will like spit sputter an than shut off..if before it shuts offf i hit the gasss a good bit it stops it from shutting off and than it idles good..also like when im sitting at a longgg red light the idle will like bounce up an down than go back too like 650?

i jus changed the plugs, so it could be a ton of other things, coil packs, tps sensor

anyone got any hints or anyone have this happen before..help would be greatly appreciated

MAP sensor. This is exactly how my sticking sensor acted. unplug to verify (will use default value and run fine at idle/low RPM...enough to get you home or to the parts store). You can also use a higher end scan tool (one with real time monitoring) and see the value stuck.

 

kurt is right it is the map senser i had to replace mine an sounds the same cheap fix
