2001 Intrepid stalls when braking from high speeds
I have a 2001 Intrepid, love the car. 72000 miles, about a month or so ago, after about 10 miles of driving around 65-70 mph I can to a stop and the car just shut off. It will start up but not without depressing the gas pedal. I can drive around town, no problem. It will start and run rough for a while then clear up and be fine. I've had it in to the shop and we change the idle "motor" for lack of the correct term. The last time we changed the cam and crank sensor, any ideas.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yes, your MAP is sticking. To verify, next time it malfunctions, unplug it. This will cause an engine light, but the engine should be able to start right up. Be aware though, with the sensor unplugged, you will loose performance when you push the pedal...this trick can get you to a parts store though. The sensor is less than $50 and you can change it by hand. It screws into the intake manifold and has one electrical connector.
Let me know how it goes,

So far it seems to be fixed
Kurt, thanks for responding and I apologize for the late response, I was on vacation. I've been driving the car after replacing the EGR valve, it seems the electronic part of it was working but he mechanical part was sticking. There was all kind of rust built up in it. I've driven it two days now and it seems fine. I'll post more if it doesn't work.
