I have a 2000 Intrepid with a 2.7L engine. Out of nowhere my car overheated and now it's making a horrible noise. I had it towed to my house because my battery died after my emergency lights were on. I replaced the battery because it wouldn't charge and I also changed the starter because the car still wouldn't turn on after replacing the battery. After replacing the starter everytime I turn the car on the engine makes a really loud noise ( almost like alot of air intake and rubbing) then it shuts off after 5 secs. I'm hoping it's not the engine and I don't have enough money to get it checked out right now. I haven't been able to get it to stay on for anyone to determine what is making the noise. Any help would be appreciated.
