Default 2.7L Turns but won't start...

I replaced EGR valve, while doing so cleaned manifold and throttle body. I also replaced spark plugs.
Put the vehicle back together and fired it up. Engine shakes the car a little, but not horribly. I took it for a ride around the block and didn't make it. The car died, battery light came on and died. In the mileage display area it flashed "done".
I had the battery checked and it is supposedly good. I'm guessing its good because it turns the engine, the engine just won't fire. I checked the cam sensor and the crankshaft sensor with a multi tester. they seem ok. Any ideas? Could the computer be shot or something? Please help. no unusual sounds when the engine turns either.

I got it to throw some codes, P1684, P0340, P1289. If i just replace the cam sensor is it possible for the P1684 to be ok as well?

tried cam sensor, no change... anyone have an idea!!!!!

I don't know if these cars have them (if you have a manual you can check), but I just had this problem on a friends truck and it turned out to be an ignition switch that is located under the dash near the steering column.

His truck would sometime fire up, but would die within a minute or the truck would just sit their and try to turn over and nothing. The ignition switch ended up being a $20 part and took about 15 minutes to change out.

Hopefully a more knowledgeable intrepid owner will chime in on this, but this will give you something to look for if not.
