2004 Intrepid SXT- newbie questions
Hello,
Just had the trans go in my 98 Taurus. That pushed me over the edge- NO MORE FORDS! Tired of all the expensive repairs.
Anyway, I am looking at buying a 2004 Intrepid SXT. Are there any known problem areas that I should look out for? I assume that since they are used as police cars that they must be pretty reliable and well built.

The police stopped buying intrepids due to poor braking system. Not sure if they fixed it but it was a hot issue.
Buy a subscription to comsumer reports online if you want the no BS answers on that car.
