Default 2001 Intrepid 2.7 Stalls

Hello, new to the forum and need help
I have a 2001 Intrepid and recently when I am driving off the highway into the city the car stalls.

This is now happening on a daily basis, the car starts up again and does not have any more problems. This does not happen with regular city driving. ANy help is appreciated.

Default 2001 Intrepid Stalls

I have a similar posting for a 2000 with a 3.5 doing the same. Ours started when the temp outside is in the 30's. Have you had the codes read?
I'll let you know if we figure ours out.

I have have attempted to have the codes read but nothing came up.

So far in my searches, either the MAP sensor or Oxygen sensor. I talked to my mechanic and he is also going to start to research the problem after the holidays to see what he can find. One of the last honest mechanics, will not do unnecessary work on a vehicle. He tells me his reputation is on the line if he rips off his customers. One of the few independants around as well.

Could be a compression problem.

If you have an obd2 reader that can monitor real time, it may help see what's going on. I'd lean towards the map from what you posted. If so, you will see the hg stuck with the scan tool.

I have an 2001 that did the exact same thing when exiting the highway. After everything else it was the EGR valve that was mechanically sticking and causing the car to stall. It wouldn't set a code because the electronics to the valve were working.
