My 2.7l engine has 130,000 miles the engine is knocking and rattling the codes are po113 p0108 iat high map high would these cause this problem or are their other problems like my car is a piece?Previously i had a misfire code then replaced the coil packs and spark plugs cleared code hasn't returned except for new codes.[:'(]

 

is the knocking noise a constent noise that does not go away when engine warms up. also 2.7l have a big problem with timing chains due to engine oil sludge i replace at least 1 or 2 a week. if engine is sludged it can cause low oil pressure due to blocking oil pick up tube screen. as for you dtcs. they are probaly not related to knocking noise. if you want i can e-mail you diag, procedures to determine why these dtcs are showing up in pcm.

 

We had a knock and it turned out to be a cracked engine bearing. The dealership thought it was the timing chain. We ended up getting a new motor *Warranty* . As far as sludge go pay the $20 for a full gallon motor flush. It will litterally clean the **** out of your motor. Good luck.
