i wanted to know if all 2.7 motors have the same oil pan. my wifes car leaks pretty good right near the filter. i checked it numerous times and its dry up front and all aound it except where the filter is. i'm wondering if it has a small hairline crack where the filter housing is. thanks for any and all replies.

 

My 2002 leaks a little in the front area of the oil pan. Just a drop or two here and there. It's light weight metal so a crack is possible.
