Intermitant loss of Cam or crank sensor. In this case, the computer can't tell which one. I'd start with the cam because it's easy to change.

ok do you think the 2.7L Intrepid engine has Crank sensor?
where would it be located on the engine?

Passenger side of engine...midway down on the transmission bell housing. When I changed mine (is was a 3.5 though), I did it from the bottom. It was the best way to get to it. That means jacking the car though. That's why the cam is easier. Be carefull though with the clip on the crank sensor. Due to heat and fluids, the clip may break easy ( as mine did). I ordered a new plug and to change it I worked from the top by removing the air filter box and hose.

put in a new fuel pump

penco8 07-13-2010 05:42 PM

well i dont think is the fuel pump .... cuz the car only has a hard starning when the car is cold but when the car is warm or hot it turns on right away...

the only code it has is the p0420 but the car has this problem before that soo i dont think that code has to be with the hard starting

sorry with my english guys :icon_beerchug:

I wouldn't disreguard the fuel pump off hand. Could also be the pressure regulator. Start with a fuel pressure test before you cross it off the list.
