Default Help????

Hi all,
New to the forum hope you all can help! i've had a 2000 dodge intrepid and its been a great car. its got the 2.7 and it hasn't given me much trouble until recently. its got 147k on it and the A/C just went out. not sure what the problem is there but thats just a minor issue. I discovered a small coolant leak next to the Thermostat housing. pulled the housing off and replaced the thermostat and gasket put new hoses on and everything. replaced it all and started to add coolant. then it starts to leak real fast. took it apart again and noticed i put the gasket on the thermostat on wrong. fixed it put it all back together and tightened it up and started to add more coolant and it starts to pour out. now there is a small hole next to the bottom bolt on the housing that it seems to be leaking from. I've heard that its the water pump thats going bad but the car is not even running when its leaking. also it barley leaked it all before i took it apart. Can someone with experience help please? thank you all in advance and sorry about the book i just wrote you all.
