Default 01 2.7 intrepid into 98 intrepid with dead 2.7

OK well I started pulling the 01 out last night half way done should have it all out in a few hours once I go back out to the shop, Then I will start pulling the one out of the 98.

I have both complete cars for the swap
Long story why were keeping the 98 and not the 01 but it is what it is.

Questions

Will the swap work? I have heard no! If it can be made too work what needs to be changed over ?

Will the 01 engine harness work with the 98? common sense tells me no, that I would have to put the engine harness from the 98 on the 01 engine BUT dont I need to change all the sensors too?

None bother me too much except cam sensor????? do I need special tools for it?

Will the intakes swap? there's some differences between the two I can see But I'm not too sure I need to swap them.

Would it be easier to swap the cars under hood harness and computers?

I am not worried about emissions for this swap as I am in an area that doesn't have or require emissions testing and this car would only be driven local till this engine dies then it goes to the crusher.

A bit about me I am more than capable of doing the grunt work and have all the proper tooling for this project but lack any experience on these cars and engines so any help or advise would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I will check in here before I get the engine out of the 98 for any info you guys may have thanks in advance for any and all help.
