Default 1999 dodge intrepid Exhaust problem / Y pipe

Hi my 1999 intrepid es with the 3.2L v6 just broke were the resonator and mid pipe meet so i was wondering if anyone knew if you could use a magnaflow y pipe in place of the resonator since it is cheaper to by the y pipe than replace the resonator. I know it will make the car louder but that dosent bother me if I could save some Cash! So if anyone knows if it is possible and what size I would need that would be great Thanks in advance!

just swing into any quality custom exhaust shop it'll be the best way to go. I had this problem and it cost me $100 for them to fix it.

it's in the exhaust system. between the engine and back bumper, removing it will make the truck deeper and louder. even better is don't connect the pipe after you remove the resonator, then it will sound bad a$$
