Smile 2002 check engine light

Hi everyone, brand new to the forum & Dodge. Just bought my 16 year old son a 2002 intrepid. Pretty high mostly highway miles (183000) body is in great shape. Runs real well only one owner. Got my first check engine light. I have a list of codes but do not know how to pull them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, HD

Did you pull out the codes with your Scanner?

I pulled the code by turning key on /off 3 times. Resulted in a P0440 code. I just had the resonator changed. I'm going to contact the shop to see if they need to make an adjustment to the exaust sensors. Let me know if you think I should be doing something different. Thanks, HD

P0440 is an evap code, and not a specific one. We need more to work with. On the bright side, evap problems will almost never* affect driveability, so don't stress about it.

*A stuck open purge solenoid effectively causes a vacuum leak, which could result in a lean condition, however unlikely.
