Well, its been over a week and just got my 02 trep out of the shop -- 525$ later and it is still misfiring. The mechanic cannot figure out what the hell is going on - he replaced my downstream 02 sensors for me, which were shot from the injector cleaner...Thank you Jiffy lube! So now I have a case against them and will be looking at my CATS next. (the cleaner fried my 02 sensor and my CATS) He "thinks" that my computer is fried and thought that by FED law it was covered by warrenty. I called Dodge and they are saying $570+ (not including labor) for a new computer. I asked my mechanic (which who is a referral by my M-I-L) if he check my coils and he still has not given me a difinative answer..."I was thinking of checking them"....

Wouldnt a bad computer report a code?

Well the Saga is over! I got my car back from the mechanic from hell 1 week before 4th of July - unfixed and a $600 dollar hole in my pocket! He was "kind" enough not to charge me all the man hours he put into my car since he was unable to fix it.

I brought my car to Chrystler/Dodge - What saints they are there!!! 4 Days and just under $500 (including labor) I got a new computer, No charge! That wasn't the problem though...my upstream 02 sensors, which were already replaced, were bad from the factory - they were causing the engine misfire the whole time! They also took a look at my CAT for me...nothing was wrong.

So the first mechanic, whom my MIL swears by...stinks as high as the heavens! He had the car for over 3 weeks and couldnt fix it....my theory is if you cant fix it...give it back - dont try all sorts of stuff and kill me on costs! I tried to get the cost down as much as possible, but he wouldnt budge a bit.
